Shalom Baby Starter Kits
A special delivery for new babies in the Jewish community.

That’s why Shalom Baby was born,” explains Nikki Sandor, Program Manager. “Our free Shalom Baby Starter Kit is packed with gifts and resources to help young Jewish families get connected to each other and the Jewish community—with no strings attached!”

Shalom Baby Starter Kits are available to Greater Cincinnati families who have babies 18 months and younger and at least one Jewish parent. Funded by a generous grant from The Mayerson Foundation, these kits contain gifts and goodies for parents and babies too, such as Tushy Towelettes To Go, a Baby’s First Jewish Holiday board book, a fork-and-spoon set, a hardback copy of the popular book Jewish Family & Life: Traditions, Holidays, and Values for Today’s Parents and Children, and lots of other resources to help families learn more about the great programs and events available to young families in the Jewish community.

“We had just moved to town when our son was born and we didn’t know anyone. It was hard not having a support system or a circle of friends who also had young children,” remembers Jana Bernstein. “But before we could even finish unpacking, a Shalom Baby Starter Kit arrived at our door. Not only was it filled with a lot of fun items for the whole family, it helped us find some easy ways to get connected to the Jewish community. We met a ton of great people, many of whom are still our good friends three years later…It’s amazing the difference a box full of goodies made in our lives!”
